Choose a sharp, well lit photo where the face is fully visible and in focus. Natural daylight near a window works best. Avoid heavy filters and motion blur.
If you want the mouth open in the artwork, upload a photo with the mouth open. If you prefer it closed, use a photo with the mouth closed. The pose and expression in your upload will guide the final portrait.
